About Us

The Owners:

The Kids `R` Kids School of Quality Learning in Concord is owned and operated by Marlene and Marty Kelly. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1986 along with their three children.

Marlene has worked as a registered nurse for over 25 years. She recently received her North Carolina Early Childhood Certificate. Marty has worked for a national fire and safety company since moving to Charlotte. He is currently Vice President of Global Sourcing. While living in Florida, he worked for seven years on the retail service side of the same industry.

Marlene and Marty also owned and operated a trophy and uniform business in the Charlotte area that primarily served local schools and youth athletic associations for over 10 years.

Through the years, Marlene and Marty have been heavily involved in the community and their children’s activities. This involvement included serving as a volunteer firefighter, soccer and baseball coach, soccer referee, assistant scoutmaster, den leader, Girl Scout leader, league president of a local youth baseball association, and Optimist Club member.  They also volunteered for and supported activities at all of their children’s elementary, middle, and high schools.

Their three adult children reside in the Charlotte area. David, the oldest, is an attorney; Tim is employed in the information technology field; and Melissa is a special education teacher for Cabarrus County Schools.

Marlene and Marty bring significant life experiences with them as they establish the Kids`R`Kids School of Quality Learning in Concord, NC, and they look  forward to providing an outstanding level of care and education for your child.

 The School:

We are very proud to provide the most innovative facilities and effective educational programs for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age.

Our sincere love for children and strong belief that they should have a solid foundation, in combination with Kids `R` Kids, the absolute leader in its industry, makes the perfect choice for your family`s childcare needs. Our center is approximately 17,000 square feet with 10 classroom suites, a private Kindergarten, a cafeteria, a resource room, a large activity gym for before and after school students, and four large play areas separated for age groups. The play area is covered with artificial turf and padding for the protection of your loved ones. Also for those hot summer days, we have a water splash park to cool them off.

At Kids `R` Kids, we share a common desire with parents, which is to provide the absolute best for the children. Our high quality educated teachers, creative and fun educational programs and, of course, our state-of-the-art facilities make us stand high above our competitors.

We love children and are dedicated to making our school a great success. Our door is always open for parents to come and discuss their needs, ask questions, give suggestions and comments.
